POLICIES & PAYMENTS
PAYMENTS: In general payment is due on or before the lesson date. If you need an alternate arrangement, please contact the studio. Typically you pay only for lessons you take (see below for excessive cancellation policy). Payments may be made by cash, check, Zelle or Venmo.
CANCELLATIONS: Please notify as early as possible of any cancellations. Make-up lessons may be available depending on schedules.
EXCESSIVE CANCELLATION POLICY (Aug-May): If there are excessive cancellations without make-ups (more than 3 per semester), you may:
1. Be required to pay for your lesson spot even for weeks you do not come;
2. Be asked to move to a less desirable lesson time (usually after 7:30 p.m.); and/or
3. Be asked to take a leave of absence from lessons, allowing wait-listed students to obtain a spot
Please note: the minor Monday holidays (Labor Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Easter Monday) are NOT studio holidays. Any cancellations on these dates will fall under this policy.
Cancellaitions on Thanksgiving week and Spring Break will not count toward this policy even if lessons are offered.
Christmas and New Year's weeks are studio breaks; no lessons will be offered.
RECITAL FEES: Recital fees are charged only to cover the costs of the recital (space rental, accompanist fees). The fees will be split evenly among participating students and families. Facility rental fees generally fall around $15 - $20 per student. Accompanist fees (for students performing with the accompanist) generally fall around $20 in addition to the facility fee. Exact charges for each recital will be billed approximately one week before the recital.
RECITAL FEES ARE SPLIT EVENLY AMONG PARTICIPATING STUDENTS. THEREFORE, IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR A RECITAL AND CANCEL LESS THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE, YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED THE RECITAL FEE
